Leader: God we confess that we try and make your story all about us.

All: Please forgive us for forgetting that you have invited us to be a part of your story.

Leader: Forgive us for trying to carry our own burdens

All: Instead of allowing you to carry them for us.

Leader: Please forgive us for trying to live out of our own power and strength.
All: Instead of living out of the abundance of your grace and mercy.

Leader: Forgive us for listening to all the other voices in the world

All: Instead of listening to your voice that says “I love you.”
