C: We confess that we are in bondage to sin and cannot free ourselves.

C: We have turned deaf ears to your call to join in your mission.

We have neglected the gifts you have bestowed upon us and buried them like talents in the ground.

C: While you have sent us,

we have waited for others to go in our place.

C: In your compassion, forgive us our sins.

Call us again,

we will come.

Equip us with the power of your Spirit.

Send us out that we may be your hands and feet in the world.
